Thank You
Thanks to everyone who has donated to the Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery Fund. The fund has now reached around $575,000 in GoFundMe donations and contributions direct to our bank account, so we are getting closer to the $1m target all the time! That people continue to contribute, whilst grappling with all the changes brought upon us by Covid-19, is an expression of a generosity of spirit that we find incredibly moving. Our latest grant supports the Bega District Woodcraft Association Inc. “Elves Making Shelves” project. Winter is coming and with it the bush rats so woodworking elves in the Bega Valley are busy building storage shelves and cupboards for people who lost their homes in the bushfires. This is an activity involving a lot of local woodworkers that can be done whilst socially distancing! Our projects are generated by local people for local people and are about providing much-needed help and hope for better times ahead. Your contribution is received with gratitude. Stay safe. Kindest regards from all of us on the fund team.
