Quaama Public School Bike Track

An exciting project bringing joy to students of all ages

“Thanks to the generous funding of the Cobargo Bushfire fund, the project was completed at the beginning of last term and has been a great success! We have had the wonderful support from personnel from Tathra mountain bike club, plus many school and community volunteers who have assisted in modifying and adjusting the track, so that it makes for a really great ride, with lots of challenges for a variety of ages and abilities. It really is a great track! The mounds, berms, tabletop mounds and moggles are just some of the features. While beginner riders can ride the course at their own pace, more adventurous riders enjoy the challenge of getting as much ‘air’ as possible on the jumps! As part of the school curriculum, children have also completed bike skills assessment and bike safety. At this stage children have been bringing their own bikes to school, but p and c are also funding in the future a set of 14 school bikes, so that all students have access to a mountain bike to use on the track.”
