Cobargo Community Bushfire Recovery fund

New Projects

New Projects!

The Fund has now funded 15 community projects to the value of almost $90,000 as at 21 July. The latest grants will help fund a new shed for the Cobargo Community Garden to be built by Building Angels. The shed will be a display prototype as well as a space for community garden volunteers. It will be available to the wider community for meetings and workshops.
A second grant will fund the ongoing operations of the Cobargo Bushfire Relief Centre. Your donations will pay for the move of the relief centre into Cobargo village and the establishment of a small office, creating a place for members of the community to discuss concerns regarding relief services, offering information and help with grant applications, providing advocacy services, assisting and facilitating larger projects delivering relief to individuals and providing assistance to and storage for other relief centres within the Bega Valley, including Kiah, Wyndham, Bemboka and Pericoe.
Thank you so much for your support of the fund. We are very grateful.
